The latest models from the Ford GT will be produced in limited and very distinctive with the feel of racing. The car was a tribute to the GT40 Mark II model driven by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amin during the 1966 Le Mans racing championship. On the exterior, Ford GT’66 Heritage Edition is dominated by dark black both glossy and matte black. Along the upper body, there is a white line that extends from back to front. In the hood and left and right side doors, there is a number 2 taken from the name GT40 Mark II. Ford GT ’66 Heritage Edition will use 20-inch alloy wheels to provide good handling.
In the interior, Ford GT carbon fiber with ebony skin is ready to pamper yourself while driving. The GT logo is carved in various parts of the cabin such as in the headrest, seats, up to the steering system. Instrument panels, pillars to the roof of the cabin are also coated by ebony skin with gold accents on the panel. Like the race car in 1966, the steering system was covered by a layer of leather with a unique blue webbing seatbelt.
The car made to commemorate Ford’s victory at Le Mans will use the EcoBoost V6 engine with a capacity of 3,499 cc twin turbo which can spit out a power of 600 hp. The machine will be bred to a 7‐ speed dual‐ clutch transmission.
